Actress Sharon Cuneta and her husband, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, have withdrawn the cyber libel complaint they filed against entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin, according to a report by showbiz insider Ogie Diaz.
The couple initially lodged the complaint in May 2024, accusing Fermin of making defamatory and slanderous remarks. However, the specific statements at issue were not made public.
Diaz posted a photo on July 8 showing Cuneta, Pangilinan, and Fermin smiling together, suggesting the matter had been amicably resolved. He noted that the case was dropped after Fermin issued a public apology on her YouTube show Showbiz Now Na! on June 28.
In her apology, Fermin admitted to making hurtful comments about Cuneta and expressed regret, saying, “Humility doesn’t mean cowardice. I acknowledge I hurt Sharon with my words.” She added that she valued the relationship they had built over the years and asked for forgiveness.
As of now, none of the three have released official statements about the reconciliation.
