MANILA — Rising love team Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga — popularly known as AshDres — are making their big-screen debut in the upcoming film Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna.
A teaser was released on July 4 via Viva Trending’s YouTube channel, offering fans a dreamy glimpse into the film. The clip opens with Andres’ character Raffy inspecting flowers through a magnifying glass, only to spot Luna, played by Ashtine, in the lens.
“Luna?” he asks with a smile.
“Raffy,” she replies, equally tender.
Details about the storyline, full cast, and release date have not been revealed yet. However, the film will be directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, best known for the beloved 2017 romantic drama 100 Tula Para Kay Stella.
AshDres first won fans’ hearts through the youth-oriented series Ang Mutya ng Seksyon E, based on a popular Wattpad novel. The show tells the story of Jay-Jay (Olviga), who transfers to a prestigious school only to end up in its most chaotic section. A second season is in development, though its release date remains unconfirmed.
Andres Muhlach is the son of Philippine showbiz icons Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales. Along with starring in commercials, he appears in the family sitcom Da Pers Pamily with his parents and twin sister Atasha.
Ashtine Olviga, formerly a member of P-pop groups UGG, P-pop Generation, and LITZ, has transitioned into acting with roles in films such as Sunny, Road Trip, Marita, and Will You Be My Ex.
