Vice Ganda delivered a heartfelt message during the Love Laban 2025 Pride March in Quezon City, emphasizing that privilege shouldn’t be exclusive—it should be a universal right.
Speaking before a supportive crowd on June 28, the comedian and “It’s Showtime” host reflected on the responsibility that comes with privilege. “I already have privilege. But that doesn’t mean I should leave behind those in the community who still don’t,” Vice said. “Privilege shouldn’t just be yours—it should be everyone’s right.”
Though he didn’t perform at the event, Vice Ganda said he made it a point to attend because he believes in the power of collective visibility. “The presence of each one of us matters. We must all be seen and heard,” he added. “Our numbers are powerful. That’s the strength we must hold on to.”
His statement comes amid recent controversy involving fellow LGBTQ+ personalities Renee Salud and Ricky Reyes, who publicly opposed same-sex marriage and admitted to blocking the SOGIE bill in Congress.
Known for his unapologetic voice and strong advocacy, Vice Ganda remains a prominent figure in the ongoing push for equality and representation in the Philippines.
