President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. inaugurated the Valor Access to Lifetime Optimized Health Care Program (Valor) Clinic in Lipa City, Batangas on Friday. The new facility, located within Fernando Air Base, was launched alongside Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
The Valor Clinic is part of a Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) initiative to expand healthcare services beyond Metro Manila. It aims to improve access to medical care for veterans and their dependents while helping reduce patient congestion at the VMMC’s main hospital.
The Batangas facility offers outpatient services including medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and pharmacy access. It features outpatient rooms, a blood extraction area, pharmacy, teleconsultation station, and staff support spaces.
Future Valor Clinics are planned for Fort Bonifacio General Hospital in Taguig, the Northern Luzon Command in Tarlac, and the Southern Luzon Command in Lucena. Phases two and three of the Valor Health Network will roll out between 2026 and 2028.
Presidential spokesperson Atty. Claire Castro noted that President Marcos wants active-duty military personnel to also benefit from the program. He has directed the Department of National Defense and the Department of Budget and Management to allocate sufficient funding to support the expansion.
