Gerald Anderson made a surprise appearance on the noontime show Eat Bulaga on June 25, playfully joining the “Sugod Bahay, Mga Kapatid” segment alongside hosts Paolo Ballesteros and Wally Bayola in Taguig City. Anderson showed up in character as the bodyguard of Jose Manalo’s “Mayor” role, adding humor and charm to the segment.
But what really stole the moment was his affectionate on-air shoutout to his girlfriend, Eat Bulaga co-host Julia Barretto. As the camera focused on her in the studio, Anderson said, “Can we get a close-up? She looks pretty.” He then playfully asked, “Hi, Ms. Julia. Can I visit you there sometime?” to which Barretto replied with a laugh, “You’ll have to ask permission from my family here first.”
The charming exchange delighted fans and quickly went viral among their followers.
Anderson also took the chance to promote his latest project, the crime drama Sins of the Father, which premiered on June 23. The series also stars John Arcilla, Shaina Magdayao, JC de Vera, RK Bagatsing, Francine Diaz, and Seth Fedelin.
Meanwhile, Barretto has been part of the Eat Bulaga hosting team since May.
