Months after confirming her split with longtime boyfriend Jak Roberto, Barbie Forteza has chosen to keep the details of their past relationship private.
Speaking to reporters during a media event for her new series Beauty Empire, Forteza said, “I’m sorry, but I’d rather not talk about it out of respect for the relationship. But I’m very happy right now.”
Forteza and Roberto were together for seven years, having first met on the set of the indie film Laut. The actress, who turns 28 this July, has since focused on her flourishing career.
“I’ve got a horror film, P77, another project called Kontrabida Academy, and of course, Beauty Empire. So many blessings are coming my way—even before my birthday!” she said with a smile.
When asked about her love life, Forteza shared she currently has no suitors and is enjoying life as a single woman. “I honestly don’t have any. I’m open to meeting people, but I’m focused on my priorities,” she explained.
She also touched on her close bond with Beauty Empire co-star Kyline Alcantara, who recently made headlines following her breakup with basketball player Kobe Paras. Asked if they discuss their love lives, Forteza laughed off the question: “Of course, we talk about love life—because we love our lives!”
Beauty Empire, a drama centered on the dark side of the beauty industry, features a star-studded cast including Ruffa Gutierrez, Sam Concepcion, and Gloria Diaz.
