Julia Montes has addressed and debunked rumors claiming that child star Zia Grace is her and Coco Martin’s daughter, clarifying that while the young actress bears a resemblance to Martin, she is not their child.
In a candid interview with Karen Davila, Montes acknowledged the buzz surrounding Zia’s appearance in her drama Saving Grace. “Zia looks a lot like Coco, and even we joke about it. But no, she is not our daughter. Zia has her own loving family,” she said.
Montes emphasized that it’s unfair to drag Zia’s real parents into controversy, especially since the child is just starting her showbiz career. “We have a close relationship, and Zia’s always playful about coming home with me—but this shouldn’t be taken seriously,” she added.
When asked about having children with Martin in the future, Montes warmly responded, “Yes, of course. Family life is true happiness.”
The rumor resurfaced after TV host Willie Revillame’s on-air comment in July 2024, where he thanked “Coco, Julia, and your children,” during his show Wil to Win, which fueled further speculation online.
Though Martin has not addressed Revillame’s remarks, he made headlines by calling Montes “Nanay” at the premiere of her MMFF film Topakk in 2024. Martin confirmed their long-rumored relationship in May 2023, revealing they had been together for 12 years.
