Michelle Dee, actress and Miss Universe Philippines 2023, is recovering after being bitten in the face by her pet dog.
Dee shared the incident via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, posting a photo of herself with medical patches on her cheek and chin. “My unexpected Tuesday plot twist,” she wrote. “Sa mukha ko pa talaga” (It had to be on my face).
In another update, she was seen seeking treatment at the clinic of celebrity doctors Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho, showing a close-up of her wound. “No matter how much we love our furbabies, never underestimate dog bites!” she advised her followers. “Act quick.”
Dr. Belo reassured fans in a post of her own: “We got you, Michelle!” adding, “Everything for our fur babies,” alongside a sweat-faced emoji.
The incident is a reminder of the risks even well-loved pets can pose. Earlier this year, actress Alma Concepcion also shared that she and her son were bitten by their dog, calling it a learning experience and noting that even gentle pets can react unpredictably.
