Singer Justin Bieber is not one of the alleged victims of Sean “Diddy” Combs, his representative confirmed Friday, addressing online speculation following the hip-hop mogul’s indictment on federal sex trafficking charges.
While Bieber, now 31, had a public history of socializing and performing with Combs, including as a teenager, a spokesperson told TMZ and People that any assumptions linking Bieber to abuse by Combs are unfounded.
“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” the statement read. “Shifting the focus away from their experiences detracts from the justice they deserve.”
Combs, 55, is facing multiple felony charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, to which he has pleaded not guilty. His legal team maintains that all interactions, including at what he called “Freak Offs,” were consensual.
Speculation about Bieber intensified after old videos resurfaced online, including a 2009 clip where a 15-year-old Bieber is seen spending time with Combs, who refers to their time together as a “15-year-old’s dream.”
Despite these videos and public appearances, Bieber’s team has made it clear he was not abused by Combs.
The two artists last collaborated in 2023 on a track titled “Moments.”
