Fyang Smith Hopes to Make Her Mom and Late Lola Proud Through Her Milestones

Actress and Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 winner Fyang Smith shared an emotional tribute to her mother and late grandmother, expressing her hopes of making them proud through her growing career. Raised primarily by her Lola Roberta while her mother worked abroad as an OFW, Smith said both women played key roles in shaping who she is today.

Speaking at the media conference for the Filipino dub of the Korean film Picnic, Smith recalled her playful childhood and the promise she made to her lola and mom: to live a life they could be proud of. “All I do is for them,” she said, adding that even though her lola passed away when she was 11, she still draws inspiration from her memory.

Smith lends her voice to the young Go Eun-sim in the Filipino version of Picnic, a story about aging mothers and the many forms of love. Reflecting on the film, she said it reminded her that true love isn’t limited to family—it can also come from friends who care deeply.

Joining her in the voice cast are seasoned actors Nova Villa, Ces Quesada, Bodjie Pascua, and JM Ibarra.
