Kathryn Bernardo couldn’t help but burst into laughter after a Pilipinas Got Talent contestant was hilariously compared to her ex, Daniel Padilla, during the show’s April 13 episode.
Raymart Pandalan, the contestant in question, initially caught Kathryn’s attention with his playful energy and familiar hairstyle. She jokingly said he resembled actor Ronnie Alonte, which prompted Pandalan to feign embarrassment and jokingly walk off the stage.
Things got even more amusing when judge Freddie M. Garcia chimed in and asked if Pandalan was related to Daniel Padilla — citing his modern mullet haircut that resembled the look Padilla sports in Incognito.
“Kamag-anak mo ba si Daniel Padilla?” FMG asked, sending Kathryn and the audience into fits of laughter.
Bernardo playfully clarified, “Ronnie nga. Hair? Same hair? Incognito,” referencing Daniel’s current series.
Bernardo and Padilla, famously known as KathNiel, were together for 11 years before confirming their breakup in November 2023. Since then, both stars have been focusing on their solo careers. Kathryn now stars in Hello, Love, Again alongside Alden Richards and serves as a judge on PGT. Meanwhile, Daniel is leading the action drama Incognito, now entering its “Nihon Saga” arc.
Despite recent rumors of a confrontation between Padilla and Kyle Echarri at the ABS-CBN Ball — allegedly sparked by lingering tension over Kathryn — none of the parties involved have addressed the speculation.
