Actress Bela Padilla clarified that there’s no bad blood between her and Piolo Pascual after fans noticed she unfollowed him and Kyle Echarri on Instagram — a move that sparked online buzz.
Padilla explained the unfollow wasn’t personal, but part of a social media cleanup. “I did! I woke up one day and saw I was following around 7,000 people,” she shared online. “So now I’m slowly bringing that down to zero, and then I’ll follow my friends again one by one. I was just talking to Kyle about this last night.”
When a fan expressed concern over a possible falling out with Pascual, Padilla quickly denied it: “Never! He’s one of my most trusted friends in our industry.”
Padilla addressed the issue publicly to stop speculation, saying she simply doesn’t like “fake news.”
The speculation comes amid viral rumors of a backstage incident involving Pascual, Echarri, and Daniel Padilla’s group during the recent ABS-CBN Ball. In a circulating video, Piolo appeared to tap Echarri on the shoulder, prompting what some described as an “irritated” reaction. Neither party has officially commented on the incident.
Despite the online chatter, all three stars have hinted at a new project together. Padilla even posted behind-the-scenes photos back in February and thanked both Pascual and Echarri for collaborating with her again.
The trio previously worked on the series “Pamilya Sagrado,” where Bela had a guest role alongside Pascual and Echarri in lead roles.
