David Licauco is beaming with pride over his best friend Dustin Yu’s entry into Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.
In a recent media interview, David shared how emotional the moment was, especially since Dustin is his closest friend. “I’m just really happy for him,” he said, adding that they saw each other right before Dustin entered the PBB house, as David had just returned from Australia.
Describing Dustin as the person he talks to every day, David admitted it’s a major adjustment not having him around. “He knows all my secrets and I know all of his. We’re together almost every day,” he shared.
Still, David is proud and supportive. Before Dustin went inside the house, he offered this advice: “I told him, I think your objective should be to help everyone.”
The two actors have become fan favorites for their TikTok content and chemistry in the Kapuso historical drama Pulang Araw, where they played Hiroshi and Kenji.
Now, Dustin is winning hearts as a Sparkle housemate in PBB, with netizens calling him a “green flag” and even pairing him with celebrity house guest Ivana Alawi.
Meanwhile, David is gearing up for his new film Samahan ng mga Makasalanan with Sanya Lopez, set for release on April 19 under the direction of Benedict Mique.
