Meycauayan, Bulacan – Authorities uncovered expired premium meat, including Angus beef, tenderloin, and various steaks, in a cold storage warehouse in Bulacan—just days after seizing ₱600 million worth of expired meat from the same facility.
According to an NBI investigation, the facility had allegedly been altering expiration dates to resell spoiled meat as fit for consumption. Some of the confiscated products had been expired since 2020.
“This is a public health issue. We must prevent these unsafe products from reaching the market,” said NBI Central Luzon Regional Director Jun Carpeso.
