South Korean actress Seo Ye-ji has denied rumors linking her romantically to actor Kim Soo-hyun, who is currently facing serious allegations regarding his past relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron.
Ye-ji addressed the speculation directly on her official fan cafe, where she shared a screenshot of a netizen’s comment questioning her supposed affair with Soo-hyun.
“I wish this would stop now. I have no relationship with him. I don’t even know why I have to clarify this, but today I’m feeling very frustrated,” she wrote in response.
Past Dating Speculations
This is not the first time Ye-ji and Soo-hyun have been rumored to be involved. Dating speculations arose in 2021 after they starred in the hit drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, which is set to have a Philippine adaptation starring Anne Curtis and Joshua Garcia.
At the time, reports also suggested that Ye-ji allegedly dated Soo-hyun’s cousin, director Lee Robe, sparking rumors of a love triangle.
Kim Soo-hyun’s Ongoing Controversy
Meanwhile, Soo-hyun is facing intense scrutiny following allegations that he had a “predatory relationship” with Kim Sae-ron, who died by suicide on February 16, the actor’s birthday.
A woman claiming to be Sae-ron’s aunt alleged that the two had been in a relationship for six years, beginning when the actress was 15 years old, while Soo-hyun was 27. Leaked intimate photos have further fueled the controversy.
Ye-ji’s Past Scandals
Ye-ji has previously faced backlash over her controlling behavior in a past relationship with actor Kim Jung-hyun (Crash Landing on You). Leaked messages revealed that she allegedly forced Jung-hyun to act harshly toward his female co-star, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, out of jealousy.
