Andrea Brillantes opened up about her daring role in Batang Quiapo, sharing that she prayed and consulted loved ones before accepting the challenge.
The actress made headlines after a teaser revealed an intimate scene between her character, Fatima Benito, and Jake Cuenca, who is 16 years her senior.
“Mas daring siya compared sa iba kong mga roles. Mas level up siya. Mas mature siya,” Brillantes shared in an interview on TV Patrol.
She emphasized that taking on a physically intimate role was a personal choice:
“I talked to my mom and friends, I asked for advice, and I also prayed about it. This is a new path for me, and I know that I will be taken care of in Batang Quiapo.”
A New Career Chapter
This marks Brillantes’ first major project since joining Shirley Kuan’s talent management.
