Netflix Philippines’ action-packed drama Incognito brings together a stellar cast, including Richard Gutierrez, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, and Kaila Estrada. Directed by Lester Pimentel Ong, the series dives deep into the lives of a group of misfits navigating personal struggles while facing dangerous missions as part of a private company.
Elevating the Action Genre
For Richard Gutierrez, Incognito represents a step forward in the action genre. “I feel like I can do more,” Gutierrez shared in an exclusive interview with INQUIRER.net. “This is the biggest action project I’ve done. With a great ensemble cast and Direk Lester’s new techniques in filming action, it keeps me motivated and excited to work every day.”
Gutierrez, known for his roles in The Iron Heart, La Luna Sangre, and Mulawin, credits the fresh approach and talented cast for reigniting his passion for action.
Daniel Padilla, meanwhile, admitted feeling pressure due to his family’s legacy as action stars. However, Incognito proved to be a game-changer. “I was worried at first because of the expectations, but while doing it, I realized I truly enjoyed it. It was fun,” Padilla said.
Anthony Jennings found joy in blending action and comedy in his role. “This drama made me realize that it’s fun to be an action star and a comedian at the same time. It lightens me up and makes me happy,” Jennings shared.
Building Trust on Set
Despite the intensity of Incognito’s action scenes, Ian Veneracion praised the camaraderie among the cast. “Everyone is so light and easy to work with. There’s a playful vibe, but when it’s time to focus, everyone is serious about the job,” he said.
Baron Geisler was particularly moved by the dedication of his younger co-stars, recalling a powerful scene with Kaila Estrada. “She had to act like she was suffocating after being shot. It was so intense that Anthony and I couldn’t hold back our tears,” Geisler said.
Estrada, who became dizzy after filming the scene, laughed off Geisler’s concerns, replying with a giggle, “I’m fine.”
Geisler later reminded her to balance realism and self-care while acting. “I told her to not take it too seriously and to take care of herself. Acting doesn’t always have to come from a place of reality,” he said.

Female leads Maris Racal and Kaila Estrada expressed their excitement about standing out in a male-dominated action genre. The duo said their roles made them feel empowered as they matched the intensity of their male co-stars.
