According to a report by Nico Waje on Saksi, a witness stated that the modern jeep counter-flowed, lost control, and collided with the tricycle. Both vehicles ended up in a roadside ditch.
Among the injured was a woman accompanying her elderly uncle to a hospital check-up. Tragically, her cousin and the tricycle driver, who were with her in the tricycle, lost their lives in the accident.
Driver’s Statement
The modern jeep driver explained that his vehicle’s brakes failed, and he attempted to minimize harm to his passengers while trying to bring the vehicle to a stop.
