Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has issued a warning to fans regarding his hacked Facebook page, revealing that his efforts to regain access have so far been unsuccessful.
Alcasid took to Instagram on January 9 to inform the public, sharing a screenshot of the compromised page, which still carries his name but now features images of animated characters associated with an online gambling platform.
Alcasid’s Statement
“MY FB fan page and personal FB page have been hacked. I have absolutely tried everything to get it back to no avail,” Alcasid wrote. “So to my FB friends, please be aware. Apologies also.”
Support from Star Music
Alcasid’s recording company, Star Music, also released a statement confirming the hack.
“We’d like to inform everyone that Ogie Alcasid’s official Facebook page and personal account have been hacked. Any posts at this time are unauthorized and not associated with him,” it said.
The company encouraged fans to support Alcasid through his verified accounts on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok while the issue is being resolved.
Warning to Fans
This incident follows similar warnings from other celebrities, including Pops Fernandez, who recently cautioned fans about fake accounts impersonating her and damaging her reputation.
As Alcasid works to address the issue, fans are reminded to be vigilant and avoid engaging with suspicious posts or links from his compromised Facebook accounts.
