Fyang Smith on Handling Bashers After ‘PBB Gen 11’ Victory: ‘Manhid Na’

“Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11” Big Winner Sofia “Fyang” Smith shared her resilience in dealing with bashers and negative comments, crediting her past experiences as an influencer for helping her handle them calmly.

At Love Kryzl’s Christmas party in Quezon City, Smith revealed she has grown immune to criticism.

“Manhid na. Even before [‘Pinoy Big Brother’], noong influencer pa ako, naranasan ko na. Lahat ng mga ‘yun, hindi totoo. Hindi ako nasasaktan. And ‘yung mga sinasabi sa’king [negative comments] are very light,” she said, emphasizing that the comments rarely affect her.

Staying Unbothered Amid Comparisons

Smith, often compared to fellow housemates and past PBB winners, stated that she brushes off such remarks, knowing the camaraderie she shares with her co-contestants.

“Wala. We know each other, especially sa mga kapwa kong housemates. We’re all friends… We’re close friends and we all know each other. And hindi totoo ‘yun,” she said.

Defending Family

While Smith remains unshaken by personal criticism, she firmly stated she would speak out if her family, especially her mother, became the target of negativity.

“If it’s about my family na, especially my mom na. If it’s about her, bahala na talaga,” she said.

A Life-Changing Win

Smith was crowned “PBB: Gen 11” Big Winner in October 2024, taking home a grand prize package that included a trip for two to South Korea, a month-long LazAffiliates ambassador contract worth ₱400,000, a house and lot, and ₱1 million.

Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, and Kai Montinola secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
