Jamela Villanueva, ex-girlfriend of actor Anthony Jennings, has yet to release an official statement following her exposé of Jennings’ alleged intimate conversations with singer-actress Maris Racal. However, she caught netizens’ attention by sharing a cryptic TikTok video about self-forgiveness.
Villanueva’s Cryptic Post
Villanueva reposted a video by motivational speaker Jay Shetty on TikTok, featuring a message about healing and forgiving oneself.
“Forgive yourself for letting someone make you feel like you were easy to let go. Forgive yourself for giving them your best when all they gave you was their worst because your heart is pure. And even though you don’t have them, you’ll always have that,” Shetty’s video said.
This post comes weeks after Villanueva revealed details about Jennings’ alleged involvement with Racal, sparking a wave of online discourse.
The Exposé
On December 3, Villanueva took to Instagram Stories to share screenshots of the alleged conversations, stating that she was speaking her “truth” to protect herself and her loved ones from online attacks.
“When Maris came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both, I even chose to be supportive, despite the red flags I couldn’t ignore… But betrayal like this cuts deep,” she said.
Responses from Racal and Jennings
Both Racal and Jennings issued video statements addressing the controversy.
- Racal expressed understanding for Villanueva’s “pain, wrath, and anger.”
- Jennings apologized to Villanueva and Racal for the turmoil caused by the revelations.
A Seven-Year Relationship
Villanueva and Jennings were in a relationship for nearly seven years before ending things earlier this year. Despite the controversy, Villanueva has remained relatively private, choosing to hint at her emotional state through social media rather than making direct statements.
