Prime Video has unveiled the first look at its upcoming zombie-apocalypse drama Newtopia, starring Blackpink’s Jisoo and award-winning actor Park Jeong Min. The much-anticipated series is set to premiere in the Philippines on February 7, 2025.
A Tale of Survival and Love Amid Chaos
Set against the backdrop of a zombie outbreak, Newtopia follows Lee Jae Yoon (Park Jeong Min), a soldier undergoing mandatory military service who is unexpectedly thrust into the role of squad leader when the chaos erupts. Meanwhile, Kang Young Joo (Jisoo), his girlfriend, navigates her own challenges as a rookie in the workforce. Despite the horrors of the zombie apocalypse, the couple races against time to reunite.
A Stellar Cast
- Park Jeong Min, acclaimed for his roles in Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet and Deliver Us from Evil, brings gravitas and depth to the role of Lee Jae Yoon.
- Jisoo, best known for her standout performances in Snowdrop and Arthdal Chronicles, takes on the role of Kang Young Joo, showcasing her versatility as both an actress and a global icon.

Jisoo, who launched her agency Blissoo earlier this year, continues to expand her portfolio as an artist. Following her solo debut with the hit song “Flower” in 2023, she is stepping further into the acting spotlight with Newtopia.
