Kapuso actress Jillian Ward is set to star in her first-ever romantic comedy series following the success of her drama series “Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap.”
In a report by Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras,” Jillian, known as the “Star of the New Gen,” expressed excitement and nervousness about taking on a rom-com project.
“As a child star, my roles growing up were mostly drama, especially family drama. There wasn’t much romance or pairings in the stories,” Jillian shared. “It only started in Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap, where suddenly Analyn had so many suitors.”
She will star alongside Michael Sager, her previous co-star in Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap.
“Having worked with him before helps because I feel more comfortable, but honestly, Tito Nelson, I’m still nervous since I’m not used to these romantic and ‘kilig’ scenes,” Jillian admitted.
Upcoming Movie
In addition to her rom-com series, Jillian teased an intense and challenging new movie that promises to surprise her fans.
“Of all the characters I’ve played, this is the most challenging—mostly physically, but also mentally,” she said. “It’s really intense.”
Beyond Acting
Apart from her acting career, Jillian is also a talented singer. In September, she released her single “Be All Mine” and regularly shares song covers on social media, including fan favorites like “Weak” and “On the Wings of Love.”
