Chelsea Manalo has arrived in Mexico, ready to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. Flying in from Los Angeles, Chelsea looked stylish in a white blouse, blue jeans, and a white fur coat, proudly wearing her Miss Universe Philippines sash. Upon landing at Mexico’s Aeropuerto Internacional, she made a grand entrance in a golden modern Filipiniana gown designed by Cary Santiago.
Excited about the journey ahead, Chelsea told Missosology CEO Pawee Ventura that she barely slept on the flight due to the anticipation. She has already connected with contestants from Trinidad and Tobago and Ukraine, sharing that she’s eager to enjoy the experience. Her approach for the competition? “To have fun,” she said.
Chelsea, the first Filipino-Black American to win Miss Universe Philippines, will compete for the crown on November 16 (November 17, Philippine time). The Preliminary and National Costume competitions are scheduled for November 14.
