Chinkee Tan Takes Legal Action Over False Claims of Arrest

Financial coach and speaker Chinkee Tan has taken legal action against malicious actors spreading false reports about his alleged involvement in illegal activities, including claims that he was arrested. Tan clarified that these reports are part of a scam using his name to deceive people into cryptocurrency schemes.

In a public statement, Tan warned that his name has been exploited in “false news reports and deceptive online advertisements,” which have been circulating on social media and various websites. These fake reports aim to lure individuals into scams by using his reputation as a trusted financial expert as bait.

“This is not only a blatant lie, but it’s also a harmful tactic meant to defraud individuals,” Tan stated, urging the public to be cautious and to verify the legitimacy of any information they come across.

Tan revealed that he has already escalated the issue to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) – Cybercrime Division, where he filed an Affidavit of Denial and an Affidavit of Complaint. He assured the public that he is working closely with authorities and social media platforms to take down the misleading advertisements and false claims as quickly as possible.

He also reminded the public to be vigilant about “dubious advertisements” and to always check the credibility of their sources to avoid being misled.
