Marcos Declares Special Non-Working Days in Five Areas

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in five localities across the Philippines, as per proclamations signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the Presidential Communications Office announced on Sunday.

The President issued the following proclamations:

  • Proclamation No. 693: Declares Friday, October 4, 2024, a special non-working day in Infanta, Pangasinan, in celebration of its 148th Founding Anniversary.
  • Proclamation No. 694: Designates Wednesday, October 16, 2024, as a special non-working day in Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur, for its 67th Founding Anniversary.
  • Proclamation No. 695: Declares Friday, October 25, 2024, as a holiday in Negros Oriental to mark the Buglasan Festival.
  • Proclamation No. 696: Declares Saturday, October 26, 2024, a special non-working day in Angeles City, Pampanga, in celebration of the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan Festival, which commemorates the city’s recovery from the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
  • Proclamation No. 697: Declares Monday, October 28, 2024, a special non-working day in Dingle, Iloilo, to allow residents to commemorate the Cry of Lincud, the first revolutionary declaration against Spain in Iloilo and Panay.
