Hergie Bacyadan Ousted by Top Seed Li Qian of China in Paris Olympics

PARIS, France – Hergie Bacyadan faced a formidable challenge but ultimately fell to top-seeded Li Qian of China in the Round of 16 of the women’s 75kg boxing event at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Wednesday at the North Paris Arena.

The 29-year-old Filipino boxer lost by unanimous decision to Qian, a two-time Olympic medalist who secured a silver medal in Tokyo in 2021 and a bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
