Tourist Killed in Water Activity at Lapu-Lapu City Resort

A tragic incident occurred at a resort in Lapu-Lapu City where a tourist died during a water activity, as reported by 24 Oras Weekend.

Incident Details

The 43-year-old tourist was participating in an activity involving a jumping balloon. A video showed her sitting at one end of the balloon while staff jumped on the other end. Unfortunately, she landed headfirst on the balloon before falling into the water.

Immediate Response

Resort staff quickly rescued the unresponsive tourist and rushed her to the hospital. The police confirmed that the cause of death was a spinal injury resulting from the water sports activity, as indicated on the death certificate.
