Megan Young to Shine as Co-Host at Miss World 2024 in India

Philippines’ very own Megan Young, who etched history by becoming the first Miss World titleholder from the country in 2013, is set to return to the grand stage of Miss World, this time as a co-host. The much-anticipated coronation night is scheduled for March 9 at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in India, where Young will share the stage with renowned Indian TV personality Karan Johar.

Since her crowning moment, Young has continued to captivate audiences, not just with her beauty and grace but also through her talents as an actress. Her recent role in the GMA Network’s crime drama series “Royal Blood” showcases her versatility and commitment to her craft.

The Miss World 2024 competition commenced on February 18, bringing together talented and accomplished women from around the globe. Representing the Philippines in this year’s contest is Gwendolyne Fourniol, who has already made significant strides by securing a spot in the Top 23 of the Miss World Talent Competition, the Top 25 of the Head to Head Challenge, and qualifying for the Sports Challenge Final. Fourniol, hailing from Negros Occidental, dazzled during the opening ceremony, proudly displaying Ilonggo textiles through her national costume, following her victory as Miss World Philippines in 2022.
