Kris Aquino Seeks Prayers Amid Health Challenges and Heart Risks

Kris Aquino, the “Queen of All Media,” has once again reached out to the public, requesting prayers as she faces a critical health challenge. In a live interview on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” Aquino revealed she is grappling with inflammation in her heart, a condition that could potentially lead to cardiac arrest. She disclosed plans to undergo treatment with a biological drug in hopes of saving her heart and preventing the severe outcome.

Scheduled for hospital admission on Monday, Aquino shared her apprehension and the high stakes involved with the new treatment. “This is my chance to save my heart. Because if it doesn’t work, I had a very strong chance of having cardiac arrest,” she expressed, highlighting the gravity of her situation.

Aquino’s health journey has been fraught with complications due to multiple autoimmune conditions. The treatment she is considering carries significant risks, including the need for steroids to prevent anaphylactic shock, a reaction to her severe allergies to various medications.

The beloved television personality is set to receive a “baby shot” or a low dosage of the biological drug, requiring four doses. Aquino candidly spoke about the unpredictability of her condition, acknowledging every day as a gift and expressing her determination to continue fighting for her life, especially for her children, family, and those who love her.

Despite the challenges, Aquino remains steadfast in her resolve, drawing strength from the prayers and support of her fans and the community. She has been battling with her conditions since moving to the U.S. in 2022 for treatment, where she was diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, Churg Strauss EGPA (a rare type of vasculitis), and indications of early lupus symptoms.

Aquino’s appeal for prayers underscores her vulnerability and the critical nature of her health struggles. As she faces this new treatment, her message resonates with hope, resilience, and the power of communal support in times of personal adversity.
