Leadership in Spotlight: Rising Tigers Magazine’s Gala Recognizes Captains of Industries

The much-anticipated presentation of the Captains of Industries unfolded on December 19, 2023, at the esteemed residence of the Malaysian Ambassador H.E. Dato Melvin Malik Castellino Bin Anthony. Hosted by the country’s leading business and lifestyle magazine, the grand event was marked by elegance and reverence for the accomplished leaders shaping the nation’s future.

The festivities commenced with a warm welcome from the Malaysian Ambassador H.E. Dato Melvin Malik Castellino Bin Anthony, expressing gratitude to all attendees, notably acknowledging the efforts of Andrew Troy Nicolas, Grace Bondad Nicolas, Andria Terese Nicolas, and the entire team behind Rising Tigers Magazine. The Ambassador emphasized the significance of leaders actively engaging in service for the betterment of the nation.

Andria Terese Nicolas, Chief Marketing Officer of Rising Tigers Magazine, delivered a poignant message to the honored leaders. Stressing the value of service and collaboration, she remarked, “Once you decide to partake in service, in any industry, you are contributing to nation-building. Leadership is an endless and noble pursuit in many ways. Let this be the start of creating a true story of hope.”

The keynote address was delivered by Captain Stanley Ng, President of Philippine Airlines, who articulated the essence of leadership. He emphasized that a leader sets an example for their people, with vision being a crucial element for effective leadership. Captain Ng urged the Captains of Industry to continue sharing their masterful stories of excellence with the world.

To formally close the ceremony, Brian Poe Llamanzares, the Co-Owner of Rising Tigers Magazine, took the stage. Encapsulating the spirit of giving, Poe Llamanzares urged the Captains of Industry to give back to society, acknowledging the collective effort that saw the nation through the challenges of the pandemic. “As Captains of Industry, it is also our responsibility to give back to the country. So now that we are beyond the pandemic, it is time to grow, but to grow together and to remember that growth should always be inclusive. After all, what’s the point in being a rising tiger if we’re not rising together,” shared Poe Llamanzares.

The distinguished list of Captains of Industries included prominent figures such as Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, Angkas Founder George Royeca, Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz Victorio, Korina Sanchez, Department of Agriculture Secretary Francis Tiu Laurel, Clark Development Secretary Agnes Devenadera, Shawarma Shack President Walther Buenavista, The Manila Times President Dante “Klink” Ang, JC Worldwide founders Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, President of PCCI Eunina Mangio, Sta.
