Manila’s Lagusnilad Underpass Reopens, Expected to Ease Traffic

The reopening of the Lagusnilad vehicular underpass in Manila is anticipated to significantly ease traffic congestion in the area. The underpass, which underwent rehabilitation, was reopened by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, who expressed optimism about the improvement in traffic flow, especially with the upcoming Christmas season. The closure of Lagusnilad since May had led to increased traffic congestion, affecting the livelihood of Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers and causing inconvenience to commuters. The reopening has been welcomed by PUV drivers like jeepney driver Joey Cortez, who noted the positive impact on their earnings. Commuters have also expressed appreciation for the rehabilitation efforts, as it promises a better travel experience through the underpass.
