Miss Universe El Salvador Apologizes for Name Mix-Up in Top Finalists

Miss Universe El Salvador recently issued an apology on Instagram for mistakenly mixing up the names of two finalists in their social media post. The organization admitted to the error, stating it was a simple case of moving too fast. They expressed regret to both finalists involved in the mix-up.

The confusion arose when a post by Miss Universe El Salvador incorrectly included Philippine representative Michelle Dee in the Top 5 of the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, inadvertently excluding Miss Thailand Anntonia Porsild, who eventually secured the position of first runner-up. The post quickly circulated on social media, leading to speculation. To clarify, the organization assured fans that there was no special access or inside information involved, and they had heard the results live just like everyone else. Ultimately, Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios was crowned Miss Universe 2023, with Michelle Dee finishing in the Top 10.
