Asia Leaders Awards 2023: Recognizing the Country’s Top Industry Leaders

The historic Manila Hotel served as the backdrop for the grand spectacle that was the Asia Leaders Awards 2023. The prestigious event, held on November 20, brought together prominent figures and industry leaders from across the country to honor exemplary individuals and organizations. Out of a pool of thousands of nominees, only 20 leaders were meticulously chosen by the board to receive the prestigious Asia Leaders Awards. 

The gathering included esteemed personalities such as H.E Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony, Ambassador of Malaysia; Robert Laurel Yupangco, President of Yupangco Group; Tan Yu III, President of Makati Tourism; and Dr. Elton See Tan, President of E-Hotels and Resorts.

Among the distinguished attendees were shareholders and guests of Rising Tigers Magazine, including Tag Media Group President Grace Bondad Nicolas, Tag Media Group CEO Andrew Troy Nicolas, Tag Media Group VP Andria Terese Nicolas, and Rising Tigers Co-owner Sarah Mateo. The event also saw the presence of notable guests, including COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia, President Atty. Agnes Devanadera of Clark Development Corporation, and representatives from the US Embassy and Romanian Embassy.

The event’s keynote speaker, Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz Victorio, a previous awardee herself, shared her inspiring journey. She emphasized the importance of consistency, self-belief, and love for the people in achieving leadership success.

The Vice President of Tag Media Group, Andria Terese Nicolas, shed light on the purpose of the Asia Leaders Awards. “In Tag Media Group, Genuine connection is our North Star; we forge greatness to lead our countrymen in the right direction. Business and leadership are about opportunities and the freedom we have as individuals. It is our responsibility to extend it to others.”

COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Mojica Garcia, named one of the Men of the Year and the current cover leader of Rising Tigers Magazine, expressed gratitude to his team and the Filipino people. “Walang leader sa isang pamahalaan kung wala ang kanilang tauhan. Sa Commission on Elections, ako ay instrumento lamang.”

The Asia Leaders Awards 2023 honored outstanding individuals and organizations across various categories. Notable awardees included BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr, COMELEC Chair George Erwin M. Garcia, and Gov. Hermilando Ingco Mandanas in the Men of the Year category. Company of the Year recognized entities like Shawarma Shack and Realme. Atty. Agnes Devanadera was named Woman of the Year, while Young Leader of the Year featured Mary Elaine Timbol and Vice Mayor Ronin Leviste. Influencer of the Year highlighted Caesar Vallejos and Puey Quiñones. Women of Substance included Rayla Allertsen, Merle Mendoza Balicao, Alodia Gosiengfiao Quimbo, Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, and Chi Atienza Valdepeñas. The Fastest Growing SME of the Year was Asian Consulting Group represented by Mon Abrea.

Leaders from across the nation, including Paolo Laurel, Keena Laurel, PCSO General Manager Mel Robles, Atty. Carmela Lumagui, David Ackerman, Christopher Quimbo, and Elizabeth Timbol, were present at the prestigious gathering.

Asia Leaders Awards, organized by Tag Media Group, stands as a beacon of recognition for those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in their respective fields.
