MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Universe Philippines has made a surprising announcement, revealing that Nam Woo-hyun, a member of the K-pop group Infinite, will perform live at the pageant’s coronation night on May 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

In 2010, Woollim Entertainment created the South Korean boy band INFINITE. The group comprises Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong.
The event ticket prices have yet to be announced, but fans of both beauty pageants and K-pop are expected to show up to support the Miss Universe contestants and the K-pop artist.
The winner of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines competition will go to El Salvador in December to represent the Philippines at the annual Miss Universe contest.
Two early favorites have emerged: Michelle Dee, Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022, and Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022.
Last year’s winner, Celeste Cortesi, did not make it to the pageant’s final 16.
