Ben&Ben and concert organizer Ovation Production had issued separate statements regarding complaints during the band’s Homecoming Concert. Attendees expressed frustration over ineffective queueing, crowd control, and venue logistics and security.
In a statement released last December 20, Ben&Ben sympathized with fans’ complaints and said “We hear you. We feel your pain, frustration, and anger.”
“We will be more vigilant with everyone involved in the planning and preparations of our concerts to ensure that what happened won’t happen again,” their statement read.
Ovation Production also released a statement detailing the reason behind logistical decisions made during the concert. The concert promoter said that the event planners and venue management decided to close off an exit so that attendees will avoid walking through mud.
Ovation Production stressed that enough security marshals were deployed within and outside the venue. Nonetheless, they apologized to Ben&Ben’s fans and promised to do better moving forward.
The Homecoming Concert 2022 was initially scheduled last September but it was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
