the statement said

“Then, he was invited by a family friend from Batangas City. Doctor’s advice not to sing while recuperating. Knowing ‘Bundoy’ (Jovit), he gave in to clamor of the crowd. He sang 3 signature songs including Faithfully by Journey. He was gasping for breath on the 3rd song.”

“After an hour while sitting, his face was deformed with flowing salivas. He was then rushed to the nearest ER at Nazareth of Jesus Hospital last December 3, 2022 around 10pm.”

“CT scan showed a blood clot in the brain (sign of aneurysm). 100cc of blood was suctioned 2:00 AM of December 4, 2022. He was In comatose for 5 days.”

“Our dearest Jovit Baldivino joined our Creator 4:00 AM today December 9, 2022. He was 29.”

The singer received medical advice not to sing while healing prior to the aforementioned event. Jovit, on the other hand, was unable to resist the crowd’s request.

Jovit’s close friend and former PGT contestant Marcelito Pomoy is among those lamenting his demise.

Pomoy expressed his deep sorrow for Jovit’s passing in a statement. He also said that he tried to call him in the hopes that he would wake up.

“Parekoy…. 3:33 AM this morning pinipilit ka pa naming kausapin at gisingin baka magmilagro pa, sobrang sakit mawalan ng isang kaibigan, ikaw yung taong unang sumuporta sa laban ko sa PGT. Pahinga ka na, no more pain parekoy, isa kang tunay na kaibigan, hinding hindi kita malilimutan.”

MARCELITO POMOY

(Bro…. 3:33AM this morning we’re still trying to talk to you and wake you up. Maybe a miracle will happen. It hurts so much to lose a friend. You were the first person who supported my fight in PGT. Rest in peace, no more pain, parekoy, you are a true friend, I will never forget you.)

Actress Kiray Celis, also voiced her sorrow at Jovit’s death, saying that he was like a brother to her. She also expressed disappointment about the event in which Jovit was still asked to sing while sick.

“Pinagbawalan na pala si jovit kumanta, pero may mga nag request kaya ginawa niya.”

KIRAY CELIS

(Jovit has been banned from singing, but some people requested it so he did it.)

“HIRAP rin po talagang maging performer o artista… Kapag tumanggi ka sa gusto nila, mayabang o nagbago kana. Yung kahit malungkot ka, dapat masaya ka sa paningin nila. Kahit antok ka dapat hyper ka sa kanila. Kahit gutom ka dapat nakangiti ka pa rin,” ani Kiray.”

(It’s also really HARD to be a performer or an artist… When you say no to what they want, they will say that you are arrogant or have changed. Even if you are sad, you should be happy in their eyes. Even if you are sleepy you should be hyper with them. Even if you’re hungry, you should still be smiling)

“Kaya sana intindihin niyo rin po na tao lang rin kami. Artista man o hindi, lahat po tayo may problema. Lahat tayo may pinagdadaanan sa araw araw. Kaya piliin natin umunawa. Piliin nating maging mabait.”

(That’s why I hope you understand that we are just people too. Artist or not, we all have problems. We all go through something every day. So let’s choose to understand. Let us choose to be kind.)

Many were shocked by the singer’s untimely passing, making it a top trending topic on Twitter.

Jovit’s versions of the songs ‘Too Much Love Will Kill You,’ ‘Faithfully,’ ‘Ika’y Mahal Pa rin,’ ‘Hindi na Bale,’ and ‘Mula sa Puso’ had helped him gain widespread popularity.

The remains of Jovit have now been brought to his house in Rosario, Batangas.
