MANILA, Philippines – On Nov. 26, Baskin-Robbins PH made the announcement on Facebook that it will be saying farewell to the Philippine market after Dec. 31, 2022.

No specific reason was cited for the company’s closure in the country as the Massachusetts-based ice cream brand thanked its Filipino supporters.

“To our dear customers, it’s been an incredible journey over the last 8 years, but unfortunately we will be permanently closing our doors on Dec 31, 2022,” Baskin-Robbins said.

“Once again, thank you very much for everything. It’s been an honor to be of service to all of you,” it added.

As a gesture of gratitude, the company will be offering a range of promos from November 26 to December 31 this year:

  • Enjoy a free scoop with any junior/value scoop purchase
  • Buy 1 Take 1 on all pints, quarts and half gallons
  • Buy a tub (86 scoops) for only P3,500 (perfect for Christmas parties!)

Baskin-Robbins, founded by brothers-in-law Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins, is the only ice cream chain in the world that has the unique “31 flavor” concept. It represents a different flavor for each day of the month.

Burt and Irv believed that customers should be able to taste a sample of as many flavors as they liked till they found their favorite without having to pay for it. This gave rise to the iconic pink spoon.
