Darna: The TV Series actress Iza Calzado is pregnant with her first child with husband Ben Wintle.
Calzado marked her 40th birthday by sharing photos of her Spanish vacation while showing off her baby bump.
“They were right. Life does begin at 40. Simply put, your life begins as your mother turns 40,” the actress wrote. “To know that life is growing inside me is a great miracle. You are my miracle. You are my guiding light.”
Alongside her message to her child, Calzado also reflected on her 20 years in the entertainment industry.
Calzado once opened up in her interview with ANC’s “Headstart,” that she decided to free her eggs. She revealed that this was something she discussed with her husband, and that she was open to the idea of surrogacy.
The actress is currently preparing for ABS-CBN’s much anticipated Darna: The TV Series, which will be replacing long-running series FPJ’s: Ang Probinsyano. Calzado is also known for her role in Encantadia, as well as films Bliss, Eternity, and Starting Over Again.
