MANILA, Philippines – Jenny Ramp of Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, has been crowned Miss Earth Philippines, who will represent the country in Miss Earth 2022.

Ramp, who studies psychology at Holy Angel University while working as a professional model, betted 19 other ladies at the pageant’s 22nd edition coronation day last Saturday morning, August 6, at Coron, Palawan. 

The new Miss Earth succeeded Naelah Alshorbaji, who finished in the Top 8 of Miss Earth 2021.

Ramp will try to become the fifth Miss Earth winner from the Philippines, following Karen Ibasco (2017), Angelia Ong (2015), Jamie Herrell (2014), and Karla Henry (2008).

Meanwhile, Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, has been crowned the Miss Philippines Air, followed by Angel Santos of Trece Martires City as Miss Philippines Water, Eryka Vina Tan of Legazpi City the Miss Philippines Fire, and Nice Lampad of Bayugan City is the new Miss Philippines Ecotourism.

Forty-one competitors entered the MPE 2022 pageant and competed in its virtual competition. Only the Top 20 advanced to the competition’s physical round, where some were disqualified due to failing to meet the height requirement.
