MANILA, Philippines – One of the country’s most prestigious national pageants, Bb. Pilipinas crowned its latest batch of queens Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Cebuana beauty queen, Nicole Borromeo, snatched the Bb. Pilipinas International crown 2022. She is set to compete in the 2023 edition of Miss International in Japan.
The returning candidate, Gabrielle Camille Basiano of Samar, won the
Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental title; she is now aiming to win a back-to-back victory for the Philippines to win the international pageant. Cinderella Faye Obenita is Basiano’s predecessor for the Miss Intercontinental title.
Chelsea Fernandez of Tacloban City, the former Miss Philippines Earth Water 2019, was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Globe. She is poised to win the Miss Globe for the second consecutive year, following Maureen Montagne.
Roberta Angela Tamondong of San Pablo Laguna took home the Bb. Pilipinas Grand International crown. She will try her luck in October to win the first Miss Grand International title for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, host and comedian Herlene Nicole Budol also known as ‘Miss Hipon’ bagged multiple sponsor awards and was named the First Runner Up for the Bb. Pilipinas.
Stacey Daniella Gabriel finished second. Both of the runners-up hail from Rizal province.

The coronation night was hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016, Nicole Cordoves. Ppop boyband SB19 was also in attendance to entertain the audience, as well as Maymay Entrata and BGYO.
Kapamilya heartthrob Edward Barber and 2020 Miss Grand International first runner-up Samantha Bernardo was also present to host the Kumu live streaming segment.
