It’s been 14 years since the last High School Musical installment, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, was released, and Vanessa Hudgens is serving her social media followers some nostalgia with her latest Instagram post.
Hudgens, who played Gabriella Montez alongside Zac Efron’s Troy Bolton in the hit Disney Channel movie, dropped by East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The film’s OST “Breaking Free” can be heard playing while the now 33-year-old Hudgens strolls outside the East High building.
The actress captioned the post with a line her breakout role said to Troy Bolton in the first HSM movie: “Do you remember in kindergarten how you’d meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you’re playing like you’re best friends because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?”
In a report by Yahoo!Life, fans can apparently visit East High School as well (as long as it’s not during its regular operating hours) to take a glimpse of its amenities that served as the backdrop to the film’s numerous song and dance numbers like the cafeteria (“Stick to the Status Quo”) and the school gym (“Get’cha Head in the Game”, “We’re All In This Together”).
The school even retained Sharpay Evans’ (Ashley Tisdale) unmistakable pink locker!
