The owner of the white SUV who ran over a security guard on traffic management duty did not attend the hearing set by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Tuesday.

LTO Chief Assistant Edgar Galvante disclosed that the registered owner was a no-show in front of the agency’s Intelligence and Investigation Division. This was despite an order requiring the driver be present for the hearing scheduled June 7 at 1PM.
Due to the absence, LTO issued a final notice requiring the registered owner’s appearance on June 10, 1PM.
The show-cause order was filed after dashcam footage of a white SUV running over a security guard went viral last weekend.
The guard was managing traffic when the vehicle ran over him. Instead of helping, the SUV driver continued to run over him and fled.
