Vice President Leni Robredo and her daughters departed for New York City.
They are going to attend youngest daughter Jillian’s graduation at New York University. She is graduating with a double degree in mathematics and economics under a full scholarship.

On Instagram, Robredo’s eldest Aika shared a video of them on board a plane. They sat on the coach section.
Robredo also shared photos of her daughters during their five-hour layover.
Prior to the trip, Robredo posted on Facebook that she will momentarily spend time with family. She noted that this is their first family trip “with no work to take care of” since her husband died in 2012.
Despite the trip, Robredo guaranteed that she will stay on top of the preparations for the Angat Buhay NGO launch this coming July. She also shared that the OVP is currently preparing for the official turnover set at the end of June.
Robredo apologized that they cannot accept the multiple requests of meet-ups, but assured that they will do it some time in the future.
Based on the unofficial electoral count, dictator’s son Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is the presidential winner with 31,104,175 votes. Robredo came in far second with 14,822,051 votes.
