According to BSP, the coin is made of Nordic Gold with a gold-plated finish, weighs 15g., and has a diameter of 34mm.
On its obverse side, the coin bears Rizal’s portrait and signature, with the inscriptions “125 Years” and “Martyrdom of Jose Rizal”.
On its reverse side, the Rizal Monument, the BSP logo, the inscriptions “125 Piso” and “Republika ng Pilipinas” can be seen.
The coin is sold for PHP1,000 each, and only one order per person is allowed due to the limited supply.
However, just shortly after the post has been made, BSP released an updated post stating that the order quota for the limited edition Rizal coin has already been reached.
As for the others who were not able to get their hands on this particular coin, BSP said the BSP Store still has other commemorative items that might pique their interest.
