MANILA, Philippines — With the 2022 National Elections taking place a few months from now, a special study was conducted through a digital survey by WR Numero Research commissioned by International Development and Security Cooperation (IDSC).

Among the 5 top presidential choices that took the top 3 spots are Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Vice President Leni Robredo, and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

As seen in the recent survey, Marcos Jr. despite being in the first place had a decline in his results by 9% from 59% to 50%, followed by Robredo coming in second place with 20%. Meanwhile, Moreno continues to bag a place among the top three, with 9% preference among the respondents. Followed by them are Senators Ping Lacson with 4.12%, and Manny Pacquiao with 2.41%, securing fifth place.

Moreno, who continues to be part of the top three, had an increase of 7% to 9% as compared to the last survey result done in January 2-7, 2022. Moreover, in a past survey conducted by RP Mission and Development (RPMD), Moreno was leading in second next to Marcos, yet he still had a solid vote from NCR with 30.18% bagging the first place against Marcos’ 28.85%.

The recent “The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews” and “The 2022 Presidential One-on-One Interviews with Boy Abunda” were both attended by Robredo and Moreno which resulted in the increase of the survey percentage implemented by the WR Numero Research.

Other aspirants, Lacson and Pacquiao also both attended the interviews. On the other hand, Marcos Jr. declined to attend Jessica Soho’s Presidential Interview and only appeared in Boy Abunda’s Presidential One-on-One Interview, which reduced his chance to convey his platform.

14.08% of the respondents are still undecided on their preferences. The survey results came from January 23-27.
