On Thursday, President Rodrigo Duterte threw allegations that a 2022 presidential candidate does cocaine.
Duterte did not disclose the aspirant’s name but he made indications that pointed to Ferdinand Marcos Jr. He stated that the individual comes from an infamous political clan known for their patriarch. In his speech, he called the candidate a “weak leader” who hangs onto their father’s coattails. Duterte also mentioned that this candidate has a great chance at winning the presidency.
Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is the lone aspirant with a famous father. He also places first in Social Weather Stations’ October polls for presidential preference.
Duterte continued to criticize the aspirant’s own credentials, asking what the candidate himself contributed to the country. “Anong nagawa ng tao na ‘yan? What contribution has he made for the Philippines?”
He urged the public to uncover who this presidential candidate is. “Hindi ako nang-iintriga. Bahala kayo. Find out kung sino. Magtanong kayo sa Davao kung may kilala kayo. Ang mga taga-Maynila, ‘yung mga mayayaman talaga.”
