DOH Begins the Week by Advising the Public to Take Preventative Measures

MANILA, Philippines — On Monday, the Department of Health reported 6,943 new cases of COVID-19. This tallied the total cases up to 68,832; a total of 2,727,286 confirmed cases nationwide. Out of the new cases, 633 were Delta variant cases.

In their latest bulletin, DOH reminded people that despite the lowering of cases in recent days, people should not be complacent. They urged citizens to abide by the set public health standards and to get vaccinated. 

Their bulletin also documented 19,867 recoveries and 86 deaths. This brings up the total of recoveries to 2,617,693 and total deaths to 40,761. 

DOH also detailed healthcare facility consumption across the country. 62% of ICU beds, 46% of isolation beds, 46% of ward beds, and 45% of ventilators are currently being used. In Metro Manila, 59% of ICU beds, 38% of isolation beds, 43% of ward beds, and 45% of ventilators are used by active patients.
