MANILA, Philippines — Universities in Quezon City set up vaccination sites on campus, and have inoculated a combined 1,500 people with vaccines against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman coordinated with the Quezon City government for a vaccination site at its College of Human Kinetics (UPD-CHK) gym for university faculty, staff, and other members of the UP community. Sinovac vaccines were administered to those who have registered through the Bakunahan sa Diliman website.

Prioritization provided by the Department of Health (DoH) will be followed by the vaccine administration on campus. As of May 4, more than 1,000 people have been vaccinated in the UPD-CHK gym.

Meanwhile, 592 people have been vaccinated at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) – Ateneo Grade School Cafeteria as of 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The inoculation will continue until May 7.

The vaccination site is open to Quezon City residents who belong to the A1, A2, and A3 priority groups. Only those with a confirmed schedule via eZConsult will be accommodated at the venue.

These efforts are part of the Quezon City government’s response against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
