Auro Chocolate Bags 5 Gold Medals at International Chocolate Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Auro Chocolate, an internationally awarded premium bean-to-bar chocolate brand claims sweet victory as they earned 5 gold medals in the International Chocolate Awards- Asia Pacific Division.

With beans directly sourced from Mindanao, Auro Chocolate shared on instagram that they won gold in the following categories: Best in Competition, Overall Winner for Plain/Origin Milk Chocolate Bar, Chocolate Maker, Growing Country and Direct Traded.

The proudly Filipino bean-to-bar company procures beans at higher value to inspire quality and to give farmers the opportunity to improve their standard of living as it is their goal “to keep learning and improving so that we may keep pushing quality Filipino-made chocolate forward to represent on the world stage.”

Founded in 2015, The name Auro was derived from AU, the chemical symbol for gold in the periodic table combined with ORO, meaning “gold” in Filipino and Spanish. According to their website, it represents a new way of looking at an old tradition. With Cacao as part of the Philippine culture for over 300 years, Auro Chocolate strives to continue elevating the art of cacao farming and chocolate making while creating greater social impact. 

Their passion to showcase the unique flavors found in Philippine cacao has been globally recognized by the most prestigious award-giving bodies such as Academy of Chocolate (AoC), Great Taste Award and International Chocolate Awards.

Since its launch in mid-2017, Auro Chocolate has already won a total of 24 international awards.
